Summer Summer Summer Time!

Well Summer is officially here! Thank Gawd b/c I was slumping in the fact that I still had to wear leggings and boots every so often. I have put away all my bulky winter / fall stuff and spread out my dresses....These images definitely conjure up the fun in the sun feeling with lively colors, warm summer nights, glitzy golds and that burnt orange leather....and we must not forget the Popsicles!!

We have some weddings to work, some weddings to attend, baby showers galor, and lots and lots of travel!! Next post will be on that!! Cant wait!

Color of the Year: Honeysuckle

Well Pantone announced their 2011 color of the year a few weeks ago. Its Pantone 18-2120....also known as...Honeysuckle!!

Its a shade of pink that has just enough brightness and just enough softness to it. The above color schemes shared by Erin Gate from Elements of Style, showcase the versatility of honeysuckle...and although she may have been alluding to interior design and style...I think that her combos also make excellent wedding color palletes. Here are a couple of combos that I chose to make simple inspiration boards out of. Cant find the exact shade for every detail in your wedding? Go ahead and mix it up with different and similar shades. Its a great way to add texture to your event =)

Inspiration of the day: blue & pink

Taken from my saved archives of pictures I see and save...because i think they are pretty. This is back in September. One of my Fav blogs "Oh Joy" has an occasional series "Closet & Casa" where they put together things from...well...your closet...and casa. After I saw this photo, I wanted to transform it into a wedding board and got my chance when one of my good friends told me that her color choices were blue and berry for her wedding.

BTW...I totally "heart" that gold sequin skirt!!
